User Interface

Main UI


 

1 - Chat Talk to your friends, other people in the area, or keep track of your combat history. The chat window displays several different levels of chat, as well as information about what you have done during quests and in battle. You can use a number of Chat Commands in the Chat Window.
2 -Profile Window     

The Profile Window displays your character’s portrait and level. You can target yourself by clicking on your picture.

3 - Status Bar Your Status Bar shows Your Hit Points, Mana Points, and Divine Points. You can change several looks for your Status Bar in the Options Window.
4 - QuickBar Your QuickBar will allow you to place Skills, Items, Buffs, and Special Items for immediate use. You can see a more detailed explanation by clicking on QuickBar.
5 - Menu The Menu lists out all of the available links to in-game windows and their quick keys.
6 - Influence Ratio
The Battle rages in the Abyss. Elyseans and Asmodians shed each other’s blood, striving for control of what is left of Atreia. The Influence Ratio is an indicator of who is winning this struggle. To the victor go the spoils as Prices and Taxes will vary as the balance is tipped. You can check your stance in the leader boards by looking at the Abyss Rank Window.

7 - Flight Meter

A very important tool that will keep you in the sky and not hitting the ground at high speed. The Flight Meter displays where you can fly, how long you can stay in the air, and how long before you can use your wings again.
8 - Mini-Map Now that you are on your way, it helps knowing where to go. Mission indicators as well as important points of interest will be displayed here.
9 - XP As you gain experience (XP) by completing Quests or defeating Monsters, your XP meter will begin to fill. Once the meter has been filled, you will advance in level.

10 - Target Status Bar

 

Information on anything you have targeted will appear here
11 -Floating Status Bar

When active this information will be shown floating above your character and others, displaying vital info.

12 -Quest Tracker You can keep track of Active Quests and Objectives using the Quest Indicators displayed on your UI. You can turn these On/Off from the Quests Window. You can open up Quest details from the Quest Indicator by hovering over and clicking on the right-arrow.


 


 

 

QuickBar

 


The QuickBar is a part of your User Interface (UI) and is located at the bottom of your screen. There are 10 QuickBars (0-9), each holding 24 shortcuts. You can scroll through the QuickBars using Shift + QuickBar number (0-9).

 

Active Skills, Emotes, Macros, Actions and Consumables can be placed in the QuickBar.


 


Active Skills - This example is Severe Strike 1, which is a Scout Active Skill. At first, all characters have the Bandage Heal and Return Active Skill. Active Skills can be accessed through your Skill window (K).

 

 

Emotes  - Used to show emotional responses, such as Laughing, Smiling, or Cheering. These can be accessed through the Skill window, dragged to your QuickBar (K), or by use of /commands.

 

 

 

 

Macros - Macros are used to automate several commands in a single click. They must be custom made in the Macro window (U). There are no default Macros.

 

 


Actions - Perform different Actions like the example (Toggle Rest) or Toggle Combat, Attack, and Pick up Item. Actions can be accessed in your Skills window (K).

 

 


Consumables - Consumables are items within your Inventory that can be used, such as potions and food. Consumables usually give bonus or restorative attributes.

 

 


Adding and Removing Rows to QuickBars

By Default, only 2 rows are shown giving you a total of 24 slots per QuickBar. You can have up to 48 slots or as little as 12.

 

To add or or remove slots:
 

 

1. Bring up your System Menu (O)

 

2. Select Options

 

3. Under Game Options > User Interface

 

4. Check or un-check the following to adjust the number of slots:

 

  - Show Extra QuickBar 1 - This is checked by default giving you 24 slots per QuickBar

  - Show Extra QuickBar 2 - Check to add an additional 12 slots per QuickBar

  - Show Extra QuickBar 3 - Check to add an additional 12 slots per QuickBar.

 

 

 

 

 


 Adding/Removing Items from the QuickBar



Items can be dragged and dropped to your QuickBar from your Inventory (I), Skills window (K), or Macro (U) window.

 

To remove something from your QuickBar, drag it off of the QuickBar and let it go.
 

 

 

Channels 

You will discover the need for Channels when you first begin Aion. It can be an integral part to finding your friends and group members and playing in a relatively uncrowded setting.

 

 

Determining and Changing Channels


 

 

1) Open the Menu (F10) - The Golden Up Arrow just to the right of your Quick Bar

 

2) Select Support > Change Channel

 

3) The Change Channel window will appear at the top-right of your screen displaying the Channel you are on.

 

4) To change: Select the desired Channel from the drop-down menu and click Move

 


 

To determine your Channel, only complete steps 1-3

 

Finding a Friend or Group Member

 

 

Friend/Group Member Channel

 

 

1 - Send your friend a /whisper and ask what Channel they are on or you can:

 

 


 

 

 

 

 

2 - Invite your friend to a group using /invite. Once they join the group, they will appear on your Group List

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2b - Hover over their Class Icon and it will tell you what channel they are on.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3 - Once you are grouped you can also open your World Map (M) and mouse over their location, the blue diamond, and it will display the Channel number.
